Congratulations are surely in order on Monday.
Donald Trump has succeeded in tweeting the market to its worst start to a second quarter since the Great Depression – that’s “Great Depression” with a “D” not “Great Recession” with an “R”:
That’s right folks, we’re on pace for the worst Q2 opening day in nearly nine decades and if you’re wondering whether that statistic is completely meaningless, the answer is: most assuredly “yes.”
But just because it’s meaningless doesn’t mean it’s not absolutely hilarious.
What’s that line the White House kept trotting out last year? Something about “it’s nice to have a businessman in the Oval Office”?
Yeah, well it looks like Trump is starting to run the market just like he ran his businesses – into the goddamn ground.
