Income generated is up 7.2% year-over-year even though no funds have been added to the account. This is an increase of approximately $460/month of additional income from doing nothing.

John and Jane withdrew $32,400 of income from their account ($2700/month) but had a total of $82,000 of income generated for a monthly average of $6,837/month of money they could withdraw without touching their principal balance.

Over the last five years John and Jane’s combined portfolios have grown the amount of income it produces by 10.4% annually on average.
