Introduction
Those familiar with my frequent articles on TalkMarkets (see here) have noticed that I’ve been concentrating on analyzing the weekly, MTD, and YTD stock performances of a half dozen pure-play semiconductor AI portfolios (see here) and as such, have been ignoring the truly outstanding performances of the so-called Magnificent 7 mega cap AI stocks. This article rectifies that and highlights the outperformance of the 6 such stocks (excludes Tesla (TSLA) with market capitalizations in excess of $1 Trillion.While 4 of the 6 pure-play semiconductor stocks did, indeed, surpass the performance of the 3.6% increase in the NASDAQ last week 4 of the 6 +$1T mega cap companies did even better with the portfolio, in total, advancing by 5.4% and outperforming the NASDAQ on a YTD basis by 38.5% to 22.3%.Below are the details of their performances last week, in descending order, and YTD, along with their market capitalizations and any pertinent news, analyses or commentary on them.
