GOLD, OIL FUTURES ENJOY FRESH GAINS
With eyes still on President Donald Trump’s potential tariffs on Canada and Mexico and investors awaiting news from the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and its allies (OPEC+), oil moved higher. March-dated West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude added 11 cents, or 0.2%, to settle at $72.73 per barrel.Thanks to a weakening U.S. dollar and tariff threats, gold futures hit a record high this afternoon.
